Marie Antonieta Miles

Marie Antonieta Miles, (Ramirez), passed away on September 7, 2026, in Greenville, Texas, at the age of 79. She was born on October 7, 1946, in San Antonio, Texas.

Marie was a 1965 graduate of St. Gerard Catholic School in San Antonio, Texas. She went on to work in Civil Services in the United States Airforce, building a life marked by dedication and steady service. In November of 1975, she married Larry Leroy Miles at the Chapel on Randolf Airforce Base, and they shared their marriage until his passing in November of 2025.

She will be remembered as a loving, kind, passionate, steadfast, and caring woman. Marie found joy in quilting, crocheting, cooking, and reading cookbooks, and she especially treasured spending time with her family. She also loved cheering for the San Antonio Spurs.

Above all, Marie’s life was centered on those she loved. She is survived by her daughter, Iris McHargue, and Iris’s husband, William; her son, Scott Miles; Scott’s wife, Jackie; and Sean Miles. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Kimberly, Kristin, Sarah, Miles, Cheyenne, Liam, and Kylie, as well as her great-grandchildren, Liam Jr., Sofia, and Ava. She is also survived by her brother, Arturo Ramirez, and his wife, Babe.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Leroy Miles; her daughter, Debi Miles; and her parents, Augustine A. Ramirez and Maria De Jesus Garcia Ramirez.

Those who knew Marie will remember a woman whose warmth was felt in the home she created, the care she gave to others, and the many simple joys she embraced throughout her life. Her memory will remain a blessing to her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
