Obituary

Funeral services for Marie L. Urquhart, 87, of Canton, formerly of Lubbock, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point.  Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2018, at Llano Cemetery in Amarillo.
God saw you were getting tired, and a cure was not to be.  So He put His arms around you, and whispered, "Come go with Me."  She passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 4, 2018, at home surrounded by her family.
Marie was born September 25, 1930, in Kingston, Oklahoma, the daughter of John Floyd Watterson and Sophie Mabel Luttrell Watterson.  She was raised in Kingston, where she attended public school.  On August 20, 1965, she married Glen Lawrence Urquhart in Ft. Worth.  Marie was formerly employed by Piggly Wiggly as a cashier, Clovis Hotel, Comet Cleaners, Five Points Cleaners and retired in 1984 from Plains Health Food Store in Lubbock, where she was a manager.  She lived in Lubbock prior to moving to Wills Point and Canton five years ago.  Her greatest love and pride was her family.  Marie enjoyed R.V. camping and fishing, gardening and canning, sewing and crocheting and visiting Casino's with her family.
Preceded in death by her parents, John Floyd and Sophie Mabel Watterson; husband, Glen Urquhart; two brothers, John Floyd Watterson, Jr and James Richard Watterson; four sisters, Beulah Mae Lindley, Rosa Lue McAdo, Winnie Mabel Floyd and Paula Louise Bull; two grandsons, Adam Craven and Jimmy "Chico" McMillon and numerous other loved extended family members.
Marie is survived by three children, Jimmy White Board & wife, Janet, of Denton, Judy K. McMillon & husband, Jim, of Canton and John Harold Haney & wife, Bonnie, of Sachse; sister, Mary Alice Tharp, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; cousin, Lloyd Reese, of Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Tinah Marie Board, Cassidy Shephard & husband, Brian, Zachary Craven & wife, Kaitlin, Elizabeth Marie Dennis, Amber McMillon, Jason Craven & wife, Jennifer, Brandi Haney & Walter, and Heather Haney; twelve great-grandchildren, Alexis, Christian, Stetson, James "Bubba", Ronin, Landry, Cooper, Bailey, Callie, River, Kasyn, Keegan; numerous loved nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday afternoon one hour prior to service.
