Mary Ellen Marsh, 75, of Poetry, Texas went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 13, 2022.

Mary was born on January 15, 1947, to the late Harry and Birdie Coomes in Dallas, Texas. Mary graduated from S. Oak Cliff High School in 1965. She graduated with her bachelor's degree from Dallas Baptist University. Mary married her husband on February 25, 1966. Through the years she was a director of child development centers in Dallas, Euless, and Forney. She retired in 2003 from First Baptist Forney where she also was a member. Mary enjoyed singing in the church choir, painting, and traveling.

Mary leaves behind her loving husband James Marsh of Poetry; son James Christopher Marsh and JoAnn of Streetman; grandchildren, Nathan Marsh, Cody and Cynthia Marsh, along with Noah Marsh; great-grandchildren, Cody, and Abigail; special friend Holly McClung of Rockwall.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, son Jason Reed Marsh, grandson Daniel Christopher Marsh, brother Henry C. Coomes and nephew Grady Coomes.

Services will be held for Mary Ellen Marsh on Monday, September 19, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Forney. Family will be accepting guests one hour prior for visitation.
