Mavis Lucille Simpson, 86, of Grand Saline passed away Wednesday night, March 15, 2017, at her residence in Grand Saline. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements were under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Mavis was born November 15, 1930, in Grand Saline, the daughter of Elzy Simpson and Ellen Brummett Simpson. She was raised in Grand Saline and graduated from Grand Saline High School. Mavis later received her Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree at the University of Texas. She married Randoff Jordan and they were together for about twenty years. Mavis was a CPA for Arthur Upleger Firm in Dallas, retiring after forty years of service. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling. She lived in Dallas prior to moving back to Grand Saline in 1996. Mavis was a member of Creagleville Liberty Temple Church near Grand Saline.

Preceded in death by her parents, Elzy and Ellen Simpson.

Mavis is survived by her adopted family, Robin Holden, of Grand Saline and kids, Ryan, Braxton, Braven and Ty Holden and Breylan Tarrant; cousins, Dovie, Betty Pennington and Lou Sawyer.
