Melody Elaine Hooten, born on November 25, 2024, in Tyler, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2024. Though her time with us was brief, Melody brought immense joy and love to her family and all who knew her.

Melody is the cherished daughter of Matthew and Sonia Hooten, who lovingly welcomed her into the world. Her presence was a blessing to her family, who surrounded her with warmth and affection during her short life

She is survived by her devoted parents, Matthew and Sonia, and her grandparents, Misti and Shawn Bury, and biological grandfather Micheal Bryant and his wife Jessica. Melody's great-grandparents, Roger and Karen Gardner, and Davis and Faye Samples, also hold her memory dear.

Melody's extended family includes her uncles, Kyle Hooten II, Jacob Sneed, Christopher Bury and his wife Jo, and Dylan Bury, as well as her aunts, Angelita Sneed, Katie Bury, Mickala Hooten, Britney Bellar, Sarah Bury, Alicia Bryant, Mackenzie Bryant, and Amber Bury. Her cousins, Jase Sneed, Dawson Sneed, and Jaelynne Scarbrough, will forever remember her gentle spirit.

She is also survived by her great-aunts, Laura Trejo and Sandra Kittle, and her godfather, Jimmy Trejo, who all cherished her deeply.

Melody was preceded in death by her grandfather, Kyle Hooten, grandmother Donna Dunbar, great-grandparents Jimmy and Edna Dunbar, great-great-grandparents Clarence and Betty Haynes, great-uncle Jim Dunbar, and great-great-uncle Donald Haynes.

A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home; interment will follow at Ellis Chapel Cemetery in Edgewood, Texas.

Though Melody's time with us was short, her impact was profound, and she will be forever remembered and loved by her family. Her memory will be cherished in the hearts of all who knew her.
