Funeral services for Michael Burger, 65, of Wills Point have been rescheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 27, 2015, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Rev. Mark Elliott officiating.
He passed away Friday afternoon, February 20, 2015, at his residence in Wills Point.
Michael was born August 6, 1949, in McKinney, Texas, the son of Harvey Claude Burger and Lillian Ford Burger. He was raised in McKinney, where he graduated high school. On April 12, 1979, he married Beverly Chandler in Rockwall. Michael was a former police officer for the Forney Police Department for thirty years, retiring on June 26, 2011 as Lieutenant. He enjoyed fishing and building radio controlled airplanes. Michael lived in Forney prior to moving to Wills Point thirteen years ago.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Michael is survived by his wife, Beverly Burger, of Wills Point; son, Christopher Chandler, of Addison and brother, Bobby Burger & wife, Renee, of Irving.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
