Funeral services for Michael Ray Rodden, II, 55, of Mesquite, formerly of Wills Point, are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2017, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Pastor Nick Charles Harris officiating.  Interment will follow at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton.

He passed away Monday morning, December 25, 2017, in Mesquite, surrounded by his family.

Michael was born on February 26, 1962, in Terrell, Texas, the son of Michael Ray Rodden and Reba Jean Sallings Rodden.  He was raised in Wills Point and graduated from Wills Point High School in 1980.  In 1982, he married JoAnna Cawthon in Wills Point.  Michael was formerly employed as a welder for Occidental in Dallas, self-employed at Rodden Services in Wills Point and Magnablend/Univar in Waxahachie.  In his spare time, he enjoyed bass fishing, deer hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.  He lived in Wills Point prior to moving to Mesquite seven years ago.  Michael was of the Baptist faith.

Preceded in death by his mother, Reba Jean Rodden on May 27, 1999 and his grandparents, Ernest & Alice Rodden and Sterling & Virgie Sallings.

Michael is survived by the love of his life, JoAnna Rodden, of Mesquite; father, Michael Ray Rodden & wife, Ann, of Myrtle Springs; two sons, Michael Ray Rodden, III, & wife, Sharon, of Wills Point and Jesse Ryan Rodden, of Mesquite; four sisters, Donna Teel, of Edgewood, Ivy Owens & husband, Ricky, of Alba, Tammy Cooper & husband, Steven, of Terrell and Tonia Miller & husband, Sam, of Lake Tawakoni and three grandchildren, Connor Michael Rodden, Riley Ann Rodden and Reagan Rae Rodden.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
