Memorial services for Michael Ray Walker, 70, of Terrell are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2015 at Colonial Baptist Church, 6459 Scyene Road, Dallas, Texas 75227. Services are under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.

He passed away Sunday afternoon, September 13, 2015, near Wills Point.

Michael was born April 21, 1945, in Sweetwater, the son of Etnis Walker and Maddie Hope McKeehan Walker. He was raised in Sweetwater, where he attended high school and later attended the University of North Texas. Michael was a veteran of the United States Army. On February 3, 1991, he married Sherri Pelham in Dallas. Michael was a mechanic for the City of Dallas for twenty-four years, retiring in 2000. He loved his family very much, especially spending time with his grandchildren. He was a photographer, artist and enjoyed collecting and restoring hot rods. Michael lived in Mesquite prior to moving to Terrell two years ago. He was a member of the Ponderosa in Wills Point and a charter member of the Boulevard Nights. He also was a member of Colonial Baptist Church in Dallas.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of twenty-three years, Sharron Morrison Walker; parents, Etnis and Maddie Walker; brother, Carl Walker; son, Charles Carter; niece, Lillian Pelham, nephew, Bobby Pelham, Jr. and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Billy & Lillian Pelham.

Michael is survived by his wife, Sherri Walker, of Terrell; four sons, Timothy C. Walker, of Terrell, Shawn Walker, of Arlington, Paul Carter & wife, Tippidee, of Mesquite and Johnny Carter, of Sherman; daughter, Crystal Holly Walker, mom of Iris Faith Walker, both of Terrell; two sisters, DiAnn Davis, of Balch Springs and Rita Ellis, of Wills Point; nine grandchildren, Alison Walker, Jonathon Hayes, Christopher Walker, Austin Carter, Aidan Walker, Justin Carter, Haley Walker, Brandon Walker and Adam Carter and a special niece, Tiffany Eakin, husband, David and son, Cody, all of Greenville.
