Myrtle Ruth Shivers, 85, of Dallas, formerly of Emory, passed away Tuesday afternoon, June 26, 2018, at a hospital in Waxahachie. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements were under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.
Myrtle Ruth was born April 27, 1933, in Myrtle Springs, the daughter of Early Ann Shivers and Lula Lorene Admire Shivers. She was raised in Emory, where she attended public school. Ruth was married to James E. Ward and later to Donald R. Craven. She was formerly employed as a waitress and a machine punch press operator. Ruth enjoyed quilting and traveling. She was of the Baptist faith.
Preceded in death by her parents, Early and Lula Lorene Shivers and brothers and sisters, Etchie Scott, Bud Shivers, Ruby Harris, Kirby Scott, Esther Shivers, Tommy Shivers and twins, Estelene & Eveline Admire.
Ruth is survived by three daughters, Tommie Sue Warde, of Dallas, Charlotte Ruth Craven, of Quinlan and Mary Lorene Craven, of Dallas; five grandchildren, Larry Don Henderson,Gregory William Pineda, Chanda Christine Haney, Kevin Troyce Haney and Joshua Joel Haney and nine great-grandchildren, Brandon Mitchell Henderson, Abigail Lynn Henderson, Jacob Aaron Erwin, Jarod Lee Erwin, Christopher Allen Haney, Ashlyn Haney, Joshua Joel Haney, II, Elijah Jude Haney and Jonah David Haney.
