Memorial service for Nancy Jo Power, 79, of Wills Point will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at Chapel of the Lake near Lake Tawakoni with Pastor Jimmy Jones officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.
She passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 23, 2018, in Wills Point.
Nancy Jo was born June 20, 1938, in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of A.T. Stembridge and Marguerette Watts Stembridge. She was raised in Dallas, where she attended public school. On March 18, 1978, she married Garland Wayne Power in Dallas. Nancy Jo was formerly employed by Frito Lay in Dallas, retiring after seventeen years. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, bowling and working in her garden. She lived in Mesquite prior to moving to Wills Point fifteen years ago. Nancy Jo was a member of Chapel of the Lake.
Preceded in death by her parents, A.T. and Marguerette Stembridge; brother, Alton Stembridge and a sister, Mildred James.
Nancy Jo is survived by her husband, Garland Power, of Wills Point; sons, David Renfro & wife, Marlene, of Sanger and Ray Jonathon Power & wife, Belinda, of Laramie, Wyoming; daughters, Deborah Reese & husband, Thomas, of Mesquite, Dianna Sanford, of Mesquite, Nancy Denise Borchardt & husband, Brian, of Sachse and Elizabeth Anne Smith & husband, Bruce, of Willow Springs, Missouri; brother, Wayne "Jr." Stembridge & wife, Katie, of Oak Cliff; brother-in-law, Jack James, of Pahrump, Nevada; sister, Jeanette Brown, of Delaware; sixteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
