Natalia De La Rosa passed away peacefully at her home in Wills Point on Thursday, November 23, 2023 after a bravely fought battle with cancer. She was 82 years old.

Natalia was born on December 1, 1940, the daughter of Manuel Cerda & Juventine Ortiz Cerda in San Alberto, Coahuila, Mexico. She married the love of her li fe, Alberto De La Rosa on February 28, 1960, in Agujita, Coahuila, Mexico.  They moved to Wills Point in 1969, where together they raised their eight children and owned a local business for several years.  She enjoyed watching college football and girls' softball, along with other sports – especially the Kansas City Chiefs and the Texas Rangers.  She also enjoyed trips to play the slots & scratching lottery tickets.  She was especially fond of gardening and being outside.  She also really enjoyed traveling and going on cruises.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, father in-law, Crispin De La Rosa and mother-in-law, Trinidad Sifuentes.

Natalia leaves behind a legacy of love as a devoted wife to her husband, Alberto and devoted mother to six daughters and two sons - Bertha and Rudy Potts, Beatriz Moody, Maria and Brad Goggans, Virginia Minter, Norma and Mark Malone, Alberto Jr and Carol Ann De La Rosa, George and Holly De La Rosa and Carolina and Shane Harden. She is also survived by her grandchildren – Nicholas Potts, Alicia, Christopher & Jessica Moody, Audra Valadez, Michael, Matthew & Jacob Gullett, Rachel Minter, Elizabeth Wilks, Michael Longoria, Miles & MacKenzie Malone, Casey & Cody De La Rosa, Cassidy Julian, Lora Harrison, Julia, Alex and Andrew De La Rosa, Madeline Salinas, and Cullen & Trenton Callow and her great-grandchildren, Jason, Kristen, Jayden, Sarah, Isaiah, Lexxi, Lyric, Jenisus, Meladie, Jo Lynn, Brianna, Jai Marie, Avery, Natalia, Persephone, Liam, Gage, Nova, Luna, Atlas, Jaxsen, Karter, Sutton, Joseph, Jonah, Brylie, Ashton, Addison, Audrey, Hadley Jo, Daxton, Sawyer, Charlotte, Huxxlee and Sorren and six great-great grandchildren – Isabella, Miller, Jason, Emilia, Jake and Josiah, who was born just two days before she passed.  She is also survived by a whole host of nieces and nephews who were very dear to her.

A Celebration of Life to honor her will be held on December 10, 2023.  Details to follow from the family. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to the American Cancer Society.

Natalia De La Rosa, 82, falleció pacíficamente en su casa en Wills Point el jueves 23 de noviembre de 2023 después de una valiente batalla contra el cáncer.

Natalia nació el 1 de diciembre de 1940, hija de Manuel Cerda y Juventine Ortiz Cerda en San Alberto, Coahuila, México. Se casó con el amor de su vida, Alberto De La Rosa, el 28 de febrero de 1960 en Agujita, Coahuila, México.  Se mudaron a Wills Point en 1969, donde juntos criaron a sus ocho hijos y fueron dueños de un negocio local durante varios años.  Le gustaba ver fútbol americano universitario y softbol femenino, junto con otros deportes, especialmente los Kansas City Chiefs y los Texas Rangers.  También disfrutaba de los viajes para jugar a las máquinas tragamonedas y rascar boletos de lotería.  Le gustaba especialmente la jardinería y estar al aire libre.  También le gustaba mucho viajar y hacer cruceros.

Le preceden en la muerte sus padres, sus hermanos, su suegro, Crispin De La Rosa y su suegra, Trinidad Sifuentes.

Natalia deja un legado de amor y esposa devota de su esposo, Alberto, y madre devota de seis hijas y dos hijos: Bertha y Rudy Potts, Beatriz Moody, Maria y Brad Goggans, Virginia Minter, Norma y Mark Malone, Alberto Jr y Carol Ann De La Rosa, George y Holly De La Rosa y Carolina y Shane Harden. También le sobreviven sus nietos: Nicholas Potts, Alicia, Christopher y Jessica Moody, Audra Valadez, Michael, Matthew y Jacob Gullett, Rachel Minter, Elizabeth Wilks, Michael Longoria, Miles y MacKenzie Malone, Casey y Cody De La Rosa, Cassidy Julian, Lora Harrison, Julia, Alex y Andrew De La Rosa, Madeline Salinas, y Cullen y Trenton Callow. El amor de Natalia se hizo más fuerte con sus bisnietos, Jason, Kristen, Jayden, Sarah, Isaíah, Lexxi, Lyric, Jenisus, Meladie, Jo Lynn, Brianna, Jai Marie, Avery, Natalia, Persephone, Liam, Gage, Nova, Luna, Atlas, Jaxsen, Karter, Sutton, Joseph, Jonah, Brylie, Ashton, Addison, Audrey, Hadley Jo, Daxton, Sawyer, Charlotte, Huxxlee y Sorren. Y Tambien con sus seis tataranietos: Isabella, Miller, Jason, Emilia, Jake y Josiah, que nació solo dos días antes de que ella falleciera.  También le sobreviven una gran cantidad de sobrinas y sobrinos que eran muy queridos para ella.

El domingo 10 de diciembre de 2023 se llevará a cabo una Celebración de la Vida en su honor.  La familia dará detalles más adelante.  La familia pide, en lugar de flores, que haga una donación en su nombre a la Sociedad Americana del Cáncer.
