Nelda Lavon Barber, 79, of Grand Saline, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2020, in Tyler at UT Health East Texas. She was the daughter of the late Lois Chaney and Dero Webb.

Those left behind with cherished memories of Nelda are daughter, Deborah Thompson and husband, Wayne of Edgewood; stepbrother, Donald Lynn Chaney and wife, Shirley; grandchildren Amber Quillin and Rickie of Troup; great-grandchildren, Chloe and Callie Quillin, along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Nelda is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Weldon Webb; son, Kenny Ray Smith; and stepfather, Doc Chaney.

Nelda grew up in Edgewood. She loved her kids, family,  and spent her free time enjoying sewing and cooking.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Creagleville Cemetery in Grand Saline. Services will be held under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home of Wills Point, Texas.
