Ortena W. Howard, 98, of Wills Point passed away on May 16, 2023 in Forney, Texas. Ortena was born on December 11, 1924 in Neodesha, Kansas to George Willie Stout and Olga Alvena Nutt Stout.

Ortena was raised in Neosho, Missouri where she graduated from Neosho High School in 1943.

Ortena married William Robert Howard on February 10, 1949 in Springfield, Missouri.

She lived in Richardson, Texas prior to moving to Wills Point, and was employed at Geomap in Richardson, where she retired in 1974.

She was of the Christian Faith, a member of Elwood Missionary Baptist Church in Wills Point and on her leisure time she enjoyed reading, needlework and traveling.

Ortena is preceded in death by her parents George Willie & Olga Alvena (Nutt) Stout; husband William Robert Howard; Sisters: Maxine Stout, LouBelle Bogle, Eloise Frizzell, Clariece Griffith.

She is survived by two sons: Robert David Howard and wife Rebecca, and George Randall Howard and wife Kathy; Daughter Beverly Jo Appleton; Sister Wanda Austin; Grandchildren: Bryan Williams, Aaron Williams, Amy Fattig, Chad Williams, Lizzie Moody, Kenny Howard, Kendra Howard, Stacey Loyless, Casey Rutherford. Great-Grandchildren: Colten Williams, Connor Williams, Ava Bruno, Lola Bruno, Josie Kate Williams, Lauren Williams, John Williams, Caleb Williams, Justin Huff, Justin Fattig, Jacob Fattig, Hannah Buchanan, Logan Fattig, McKayla Williams, Sarah Barrick, Hallie Williams, Kaitlyn Moody, Roy Moody, Kamryn Howard, Johnston Howard, Bennett Howard, Bradlea Kate Howard, Evie Loyless, Addie Loyless, and Parker Rutherford. Great-Great-Grandchildren: Ethan Ward, Ronin Williams, Kaiden Loera, Sawyer Williams, Lincoln Huff, Declan Fattig, Eli Buchanan, and Jasper Barrick.

Visitation services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday May 20,2023 with Funeral Services following at 2:00 p.m. at Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point located at 205 Corky Boyd Ave., Wills Point, Texas 75169

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.
