Otis Pete Hinson, of Wills Point, Texas passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at the age of 89.
Otis was born on November 12, 1931 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. He married the love of his life Ailene Belle Capertone in 1956. Together they moved to Wills Point in 1976. He was a member of Seven Oaks Baptist Church. He retired after over 20 years from IBEW then retired a second time from Terrell State Hospital. Otis enjoyed fishing, fixing things, mowing yards, riding his four-wheeler and lending a helping hand to anyone he could. He enjoyed working his bees as a local beekeeper.
To cherish his memories, Otis leaves behind his daughter Donna Townsend and husband Keith; grandchildren Megan Segroves and Michael, Alanna Chavez and Chris, Victoria Selzer and Mauricio Robles; great-grandchildren Kade Segroves, Monica Chavez, Anthony Chavez, Nomie Segroves, Ian Bruton and Karson Bell; ex son-in-law Robert Selzer; and his 3-pound best friend Lily.
Otis is preceded in death by his wife Ailene Hinson; parents William Oscar Hinson and Exir Vera McCain Hinson; twin brother Odis Hinson; brothers Bill Hinson, Charles Hinson and Claude Hinson; sisters Helen Dunlap, Joyce Roach and Vera Freeman.
The family would like to thank Brandi and Sara with Heart-to-Heart Hospice and a family friend Traci. As well as sending a special thanks to Otis's neighbors that took part in caring and helping with meals.
Private burial will take place at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton, Texas.
Arrangements are under the care of Allan Fuller Funeral Home.
