Funeral services for Panjo Jean Hay, 89, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Bobby Hartline officiating. Interment will follow at Ellis Chapel Cemetery north of Wills Point.
She passed away early Tuesday morning, March 8, 2016, at a nursing home in Terrell surrounded by her family.
Panjo was born December 21, 1926, in Edgewood, Texas, the daughter of Luther A. Fisher and Ruby Jordan Fisher. She was raised in Edgewood and graduated from Edgewood High School in 1943. Two years later on May 12, 1945, she married Harvey Hay in Wills Point. Panjo was owner/operator of Tawakoni Stop in Wills Point from the 1960's until she retired in 1974. She enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Panjo was a member of the Wills Point Church of Christ.
Preceded in death by her parents, Luther Fisher and Ruby Miller; husband, Harvey Hay in September of 1994 and a sister, Rita Shires.
Panjo is survived by her son, Jim Hay, of Wills Point; daughter, Suzy Younger, of Katy; six grandchildren, Owen Younger & wife, Kathleen, of Frisco, Matt Younger and Jodi Pendarvis, of Katy, Denise Hartline & husband, Bobby, of Round Rock, Amie Harris & husband, Greg, of Royse City, Melissa Bunch & husband, Shannon, of Forney and Jamie Rogers & husband, Eric, of Avon, Indiana; nine great-grandchildren, Madelene Hartline, Aidan Hartline, Alex Hartline, Ethan Harris, Reese Harris, Emme Blu Bunch, Karlie Rogers, Jaxon Rogers and Sam Rogers.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service.
