Funeral services for Pearlie Mae "Pearl" Blagburn, 104, of Clarksville, formerly of Edgewood, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Curtis Blagburn officiating. Interment will follow at Elmo Cemetery in Elmo.
She passed away Thursday morning, May 24, 2018, in Clarksville.
Pearl was born May 12, 1914, in Elmo, the daughter of John Wilburn Pursell and Anna Muzela Gilleland Pursell. She was raised in Elmo and on July 26, 1930, she married J.D. Blagburn. Pearl was formerly employed as a seamstress for Malouf Manufacturing Company in Wills Point, retiring in 1964. She was a workaholic and enjoyed yard work and visiting her family and friends. She lived in Edgewood prior to moving to Clarksville several years ago. Pearl was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Edgewood.
Preceded in death by her parents, John and Muzie Pursell; husband, J.D. Blagburn; six brothers and sisters and a daughter, Edith Blagburn Brooks Shrode.
Pearl is survived by her son, Douglas Blagburn & wife, Betty, of Cooper; four grandchildren, Elaine Yniguez & husband, Wayne, Steve Brooks & wife, Carla, Curtis Blagburn & wife, Cindy and Debbie Williams & husband, Todd; seven great-grandchildren, Brett, Brian, Corey, Kelly, Clayton, Carrigan and Chandler; three great-great grandchildren, Forrest, Cypress and Baker; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday morning one hour prior to service.
