It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Prentice David Ambrose, beloved husband, father, brother and friend. David came to a peaceful rest surrounded by family.
David was born December 28, 1947 in Monroe, LA. He served as a communication engineer during Vietnam for the U.S. Navy before attending Louisiana Tech and then enjoying a long career as a truck driver. In April of 2002, David joyously welcomed his grandchild, Duncan, into the world.

David was known for his quick wit, down-to-earth humor, compassion to animals and charitable nature. He enjoyed the beauty of nature, relaxing in the sunshine while drinking coffee with family and friends, and walks with his dog Charlie.

David is preceded in death by his parents; Prentice and Louise. He is survived by wife Helen, sons David Jr. and wife Heather, and Andrew and wife Beth, daughter Joy "Chris", brother Jake and wife Donna, and grandson Duncan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to animal rescue organizations, many of which David supported. The family respectfully request that David's memory continues to be influential through random acts of charity and kindness.

David loved, and is still loved, unconditionally.
