Memorial service for Ramona June Malone, 82, of Wills Point, is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 22, 2016 at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Pastor Brandon Bachtel officiating. Interment will be at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.
She passed away Wednesday afternoon, February 17, 2016, in Grand Saline.
Ramona was born on January 26, 1934, in Boswell, Oklahoma, the daughter of Raymond Howard Davis and Sylvia Pearl Dancer Davis. She was raised in Boswell and Hugo, Oklahoma. On July 3, 1953, she married James Mac Malone in Dallas. Ramona was formerly employed by the Wills Point I.S.D. as a teacher's aid, retiring in 2002. She lived in Dallas prior to moving to Wills Point in 1973. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, cooking, going shopping and spending time with family. Ramona was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Wills Point, where she was director of the Adult-5 Bible class and also was very active with the youth. She was currently a member of Seven Oaks Baptist Church north of Wills Point.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Sylvia Davis; husband, James Mac Malone on October 1, 2004; grandson, SSG. Jimy Mac Malone; brother, Randy Thornton and step-brother, Gary Thornton.
Ramona is survived by her son, Marty Malone, of Wills Point; daughter, Jayme Lopez & husband, Manuel, of Wills Point; two sisters, Rebecca Busch & husband, Charlie, of Terrell and Billie Joy Totty & husband, Adrian, of Muskogee, Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Tommy Malone & wife, Linda, Wills Point; grandson, Marcus Malone, of Bedford; two great-granddaughters, Reagan Malone, of Wills Point and Zella Malone, of Florida; and a host of nieces and nephews.
