Raymond "Rah Rah" McEnturff, 82, passed away on November 17, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. Born on February 12, 1942, in Edgewood, Texas, he was a man admired for his loving, selfless nature and handy skills, especially cherished by his family.
Raymond graduated from Edgewood High School in 1960 and subsequently served in the Navy during the Vietnam War, where he was respected for his dedication and service. After his military service, he became a well-known figure in Terrell, Texas, as a self-employed fuel mechanic at his service station.
A devout member of Calvary Baptist Church in Wills Point, Raymond was deeply involved in his community and faith. His hobbies included a passion for all sports, playing golf, softball, cards, and making his fantasy football picks, which brought him much joy and camaraderie.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Inez Hindman and Raymond Lavoy McEnturff Sr.; his brother, Mickey Gene Blagburn; and his beloved wife, Sharon Sue McEnturff. He is survived by his sons, Rickey Ray McEnturff and wife, Tammy, and Rusty Lee McEnturff and wife, Kim; brothers, Donnie Paul Fisher and wife, Vicky; sisters, Francis Armstrong and husband, Raymon, Paulette McCluney and husband, Randy, and Patsy Moore and husband, Keith. Rah Rah's legacy continues through his grandchildren, Jayme Sanford and husband, Jeremy, Jaycie Casso and husband, John, Jayla Collings and husband, Chuck, Jordyn Oswalt and husband, Jesse, Kameron McEnturff and wife, McKenzie, and Kolby McEnturff; and his great-grandchildren, Mason, Leyton, Lauryn, Tyler Jack, Laynee, Sadie, Emma, Knox, Beckett, Ellie, Brooks, Jackson, and one great grandson on the way. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Mullin Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point, Texas, where a visitation will also take place on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. The Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point, Texas, is assisting the family during this time.
