Rayford Harold "Butch" Foster, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2023, in Tyler, Texas. Born on July 24, 1960, in Dallas, Texas, Butch was a spirited and funny man who brought joy and laughter to everyone around him.
Butch was raised in Wills Point, Texas, where he graduated from Wills Point High School in 1978. He was a hardworking man who dedicated many years of his life to H & G Systems in Garland, Texas, where he worked with HVAC. His colleagues remember him as a dedicated and reliable team member who always brought a positive spirit to the workplace.
Butch was a family man through and through. He is survived by his devoted wife, Trina Foster; mother, Shirley Foster; his son, Dustin Foster; his daughters, Shanta Riddoch and her husband Daniel, and Brittany Hutchison and her husband Matthew, and Melissa Foster. He was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren, Aiden, Dillyn, Chloe, Teagyn, Declan, Aria, and Olivia, who brought immense joy to his life. Butch is also survived by his sisters, Debbie Burrow and her husband Bobby, and Christie Montgomery and her husband Mark. Along with a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Ray Foster.
Butch had a zest for life that was contagious. He loved attending his grandson's football games, cheering from the sidelines with an enthusiasm that was unmatched. He also had a deep appreciation for the simple beauty of sunsets, often taking time to watch the day end with a sense of peace and contentment.
In the words of those who knew him best, Butch was a loving, funny, and spirited man. He lived his life with a sense of joy and a love for his family that was evident in everything he did. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel at Mullin Fuller Funeral Home on Friday November 3, 2023, at 11:00 AM.
