Rosary for Richard Gene Collier, 65, of Wills Point will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday followed by funeral Mass at 10:30 at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Terrell with Rev. James Phillip Orosco officiating. Interment will follow at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.
He passed away Monday morning, February 19, 2018, in Sunnyvale, surrounded by his family.
Richard was born September 16, 1952, in Terrell, Texas, the son of Earl Beauford Collier and Regina Priscilla Cumming Collier. He was raised in Terrell and graduated from Terrell High School in 1971. He later attended East Texas State University in Commerce. On June 3, 1995, he married Kathy Loving in Terrell. Richard was a student teacher at Quinlan I.S.D. and taught at Terrell I.S.D. In 2012, he retired from Brookshire's in Terrell, where he was a manager. They lived at Lake Tawakoni prior to moving to Wills Point in 2003. He enjoyed drawing, yard work and woodworking. Richard was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Terrell and St. Luke Catholic Church in Wills Point.
Preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Regina Collier and a sister, Mary Irene Collier.
Richard is survived by his wife, Kathy Collier, of Wills Point; son, Matthew Richard Collier, of Wills Point; brother, David Earl Collier & wife, Rebecca, of Garland and two nephews, Michael Collier and Mark Collier.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
