Richard Allan Lane, a dedicated family man, passionate music enthusiast, and ardent Dallas Cowboys fan, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2023, in Rowlett, Texas. Born on April 11, 1956, in Austin, Texas, Richard was a man of great character and integrity, whose life was marked by his unwavering commitment to his family, work, and interests.

Richard was the beloved son of the late Richard P. Lane and Norma Lane. He was a cherished brother to Patricia Lane Burnett and her husband Pat, and a loving uncle to Tom Payne III.

Richard was a proud graduate of Wills Point High School, Class of 1974. His love for music led him to pursue an associate degree in music at Tyler Junior College.

In his professional life, Richard was a dedicated IT Configuration Analyst at Prime Lending.

Richard was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the NFL. He loved nothing more than cheering on his team with friends and family, sharing the highs and lows of each season. His enthusiasm for the game was infectious, and his knowledge of the sport was impressive.

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home located at 205 Corky Boyd Ave., in Wills Point, Texas.
