A memorial service for Robert William Kapitan will be held at Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017. Mr. Kapitan passed away May 27 at the age of 54.

He was born Oct. 27, 1962, in Rochester, N.Y. to the late Robert Bruce Kapitan and Nancy Weden Kapitan. He and his family moved from Rochester to Mesquite in 1979. He graduated from North Mesquite High School in 1980. Afterwards he pursued a career in cosmetology for many years. He then lived in Oklahoma and Georgia, eventually settling in the Wills Point area in 2003. He had been employed by Walgreens for the past five years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends as well as his extended work family. He loved playing Bingo and music, especially Kenny Chesney.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Bruce Kapitan, and grandparents William and Helen Kapitan and Albert and Marion Weden.

Survivors include his mother, Nancy Kapitan; brother, William Kapitan and wife, Ute of Wills Point; uncle, Richard Kapitan and wife, Janet of Seymour, Ct.; nephews, Robert Kapitan and wife, Stayce of Forney, David Kapitan of Wills Point, Brad Harrelson of Dallas; niece, Jenna Kapitan of Denton; and great-nephews, Tyler and Dylan Kapitan of Forney.
