Obituary

Romie Wilford Duncan, 78, of Wills Point, Texas, passed away on April 2, 2024. He was born on September 22, 1945, in Fola, West Virginia. Romie was a hardworking, friendly, brave, caring, and loving individual, known for his proud service as a veteran.

Romie served in the United States Army for six years, completing 3 tours in Vietnam. During his military tenure, he was honored with the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Good Conduct Medal. After his military service, Romie dedicated 29 years to the City of Carrolton before retiring from the City of Little Elm.

His hobbies included woodworking. He cherished the time spent with his children, grandchildren,  and great-grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.

Romie is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Duncan, and their children: Timmy Ray Nottingham (Lorri), Johnny Duncan, Roger Glen Duncan, and Nancy Rachelle Duncan Hall (Larry). He is also survived by his sister, Joyce Paintiff, ten grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Romie was preceded in death by his parents Willie and Goldie Mae, brother Oscar, sisters Clarise, Norma, Virginia, Ruby, and Bonnie, and grandson Julian Duncan.

The Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point, Texas, is assisting the family with arrangements for Mr. Romie Wilford Duncan.
