Funeral services for Ronald William Gleghorn, 60, of Murchison, formerly of Wills Point, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2018, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Pastor Archie Engledow officiating. Interment will follow at the family cemetery, Rockin G Ranch Cemetery north of Wills Point.
He passed away Monday night, March 26, 2018, in Tyler.
Ronald was born on September 10, 1957, in Wills Point, the son of William Eugene Gleghorn and Alma Francis Gilbert Gleghorn. He was raised in Dallas, where he attended public school. Ronald was formerly married to Sandra Bullard, the mother of his children. He was self-employed as a master carpenter most of his life but also fueled aircraft carriers and jets, retiring in 2012. He had lived in Wills Point for many years prior to moving to Murchison eighteen years ago. In his spare time, he enjoyed building and most of all, traveling on his Harley Davidson. He had traveled to over thirty-seven states on his Harley and when he got tired, he literally would pitch a tent when it was time to rest. Ronald was a member of AA and had been sober for the past twenty-eight years.
Preceded in death by his mother, Alma Francis Gleghorn; nephew, William Justin Gleghorn and grandparents, Andrew Jackson Gilbert, Hilda Juanita Bass Gilbert
Ronald is survived by his father, Eugene Gleghorn & wife, Jacqueline, of Wills Point; son, Russell Gleghorn, of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina; daughter, Connie Odić, of Canton; son-in-law, Alen Odić, of Canton; sister, Sherry Gale Gleghorn, of Wills Point and four grandchildren, Mila Ann Odić, Rok Alen Odić, Paxton Eugene Gleghorn and Ryann Patience Gleghorn.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday morning one hour prior to funeral service.
