Ronnie Avron Hayes Sr., of Halifax, Virginia passed away on Monday September 26, 2022, in Fruitvale,
Texas.

Ronnie "Grandpa/Pops" Hayes was born on July 20, 1952, to the late Raymond and Berta Hayes in South
Boston, Virginia. He was raised in South Boston, and spent most of his adult life living in Halifax, VA. Two
years ago, Ronnie Moved to Fruitvale, Texas to be with his son and grandchildren. Ronnie was a member
of Victory Cowboy Church of Halifax, Virginia. He retired from Piedmont Maintenance Services. Ronnie
enjoyed wrestling, fishing, treasure hunting at garage sales and thrift stores, being outdoors, sneaking
snacks, but most of all spending time with loved ones and friends.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Bertha Hayes and son Michael Johns.

Ronnie leaves behind his son Ronnie Hayes, Jr. and wife Candace of Fruitvale, TX, his sister Carolyn
Conner and husband Vincent Conner of Alton, VA; his grandchildren, Kayla, Anthony, Madilyn, CaSandra,
and Everly Hayes, as well as many other family members and friends that he cherished so much.
At this time the memorial will be held Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Powell Funeral Home in South
