Rosie Ferguson, born Rosie Juricek on September 9, 1923, peacefully passed away on May 6, 2024, at the age of 100 in Wills Point, Texas. She was a beloved resident of Wills Point, Texas, before her passing.
Rosie, known for her green thumb, enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading, quilting, and word puzzles. She found joy in these hobbies throughout her life.
She is survived by her three daughters: Doris Madden (husband Joe), Carolyn Stephenson (husband Johnny), and Janette Kay (husband Donnie). Rosie is also survived by her brother, Wesley Juricek (wife Norma), and sister, Geraldine Autrey. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Kim Peairson, Wayne Madden, Mike Madden, Heather Scott, Shannon Hendrick, Matt Madden, Zac Kay, Tiffany Gerving, Kelli Thomerson, Ethan Munns, Dustin Stephenson and Meggie Erwin and 26 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolf and Rosie Juricek, her husband Joe W. Ferguson, her son Thomas Ferguson, granddaughter Jessica Munns, siblings Emily Harrison, Helen Autry, Angeline Juricek, Lucy Honza, Georgie Colquitt, and Aunt Annie Juricek.
Rosie was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Terrell, Texas.
Services honoring Rosie's life will begin with a visitation at Mullin Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point, Texas, Wednesday, May 8, 2024, from 5:30 - 7 PM. Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 10:30 AM, the Rosary will be held followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Terrell, Texas. Interment to follow at Eubanks Cemetery in Canton, Texas.
Rosie Ferguson, a Gold Star mother, known by many as Granny, will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
In Lieu of flowers, family has requested donations be sent to the Veterans Memorial Park, in care of Donnie Kay, P.O. Box 762 Wills Point, Texas 75169
