Funeral services for Alvin Royce "Tip" Tippett, 78, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Ronnie Brady and Tommy Brady officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Scurry.
He passed away early Monday morning, November 20, 2017 in Wills Point.
Royce was born December 17, 1938, in Scurry, the son of Woodrow Wilson Tippett and Bennie Ruth Shankle Tippett. He was raised in Scurry and Arcadia Park. He graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas and later attended Tyler Junior College and U.T. of Arlington. On October 1, 1983, he married Pamela Joyce Hart in Greenville. Royce owned and operated West Precision Machining in Grand Prairie for twenty-eight years, retiring in 2004. He enjoyed hunting and camping. He lived in Grand Prairie prior to moving to Wills Point in 1998. Royce was of the Baptist faith.
Preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Bennie Ruth Tippett; son, Woodrow Tippett and his brother, Eugene Tippett.
Royce is survived by his wife, Pamela Tippett, of Wills Point; daughter, Tonalea Flannery, of Hughes Springs; four sons, Ronald Brady & wife, Pamela, of Keene, Thomas Brady & wife, Lisa, of Belton, Douglas Tippett, of Hughes Springs and Glenn Tippett, of Austin; two step-sons, Tim Brumit and Lora Bailey, of Greenville and Scott Brumit & wife, Nancy, of Point; sister, Hazel Ruth Pierce, of Terrell; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
