Russell June
Tadlock
June 21, 1938 – September 30, 2025
Russell June Tadlock, 87, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025, in Forney, Texas. Born on June 21, 1938, in Emory, Texas, he was a proud Texan through and through and lived a life marked by dedication to family, hard work, and quiet wisdom.
Raised in Emory, Russell graduated with the Class of 1956 from Rains High School. Shortly thereafter, he began a long and respected career as an inspector in the oil and gas industry—a field that suited his meticulous nature and strong work ethic. He remained committed to his profession until his retirement in 1994.
In 1959, Russell married Pattye Tadlock in Oklahoma. Their union spanned more than six decades and was built on mutual respect and enduring love. Together they raised a family that brought them great joy and pride.
Russell was a man of deep moral convictions throughout his life. Those who knew him often described him as friendly, wise, and handy—someone who could be counted on for sound advice or a helping hand.
He had a lifelong passion for sports, especially college and professional football and baseball. Whether cheering from the stands or watching from home, Russell found joy in the rhythm of the game and the camaraderie it inspired.
Russell is survived by his devoted wife Pattye Tadlock; daughter Susan Jones and her husband Greg; Grandson Taylor Jones and his wife Ping, and Reece Jones; Great-grandson Wei Jones; and niece Lynn Briggs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Tadlock and Margaret Hall Tadlock; children, Randy Tadlock and Barbara Tadlock; brothers, Samuel Tadlock, Virgil Tadlock, Claude Tadlock, and Robert Tadlock; and sisters, Ebye Saba, Bobbie Gowins, and Mary Garrett.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
