Memorial services will be held at a later date for Sandra Mae Hemmer, 68, of Wills Point formerly of Janesville, Wisconsin. She passed away Monday afternoon, January 9, 2017, in Mesquite. Arrangements are under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.
Sandra was born August 4, 1948, in Janesville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Donald Jensen and Selma Punzel Jensen. She was raised in Janesville, where she attended public school. In 1970, she married Lyman Hemmer. Sandra was formerly employed by Industrial Coils in Baraboo, Wisconsin and retired from the State Capital of Wisconsin, where she was custodian. She enjoyed reading, being on Facebook and watching old movies. Prior to moving to Wills Point in 2016, she lived in Janesville. Sandra loved her family very much and her dogs, Barkley, Sebastian, Elmo and Patches. She was of the Lutheran faith.
Preceded in death by her parents, Donald & Selma Jensen; husband, Lyman Hemmer in 1995; two brothers, Donald Butch Jensen and Robert Jensen and a sister, Gloria Jensen-Aguilar
Sandra is survived by a son, Rohbert Hemmer & wife, Amy, of Madison, Wisconsin; daughter, Karyn Smith & husband, Charles, of Wills Point; brother, Kenneth Jensen & wife, Judy, of Janesville, Wisconsin; sister, Diane Palmer, of Wills Point; three grandchildren, Christopher Smith & wife, Heather, of Montello, Wisconsin, Ashlee Smith (Paul & Tammy Halaska), of Sparta, Wisconsin and Dustin Hemmer-Ritchey, of Madison, Wisconsin and other relatives and friends.
