Memorial services for Shannon Dale Smith, 50, of Grand Saline, formerly of Fruitvale, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2018, at the Edgewood Church of Christ with Mr. Carl McCann and Mr. David Bankston officiating.  Burial will be at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Shannon was born November 21, 1967, in Grand Saline, the son of James Dale Smith and Roma June Gray Smith.  He lived at home in Fruitvale for twenty-seven years until he moved to Country Trails Care Center in Grand Saline, where he had lived for the past twenty-three years.  Shannon passed away Sunday night, February 4, 2018, at 8:25 in Grand Saline surrounded by his family.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Duke & Bertie Smith and Paul & Lena Gray.

Shannon is survived by his parents, Dale & Roma Smith, of Fruitvale; brother, Sheb Smith & wife, Linda, of Fruitvale; niece, Jamie Parks & husband, Justin, of Fruitvale; nephew, Cody Smith & wife, Lexi, of Fruitvale; great-niece, Olivia Parks; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
