Funeral Mass for Sharan Kay Zebell Phillips, 75, of Edgewood, is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2018, at St. Therese Catholic Church in Canton with Pastor Selvaraj Sinnappan officiating. Services are under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.
She passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 31, 2017, at her home in Edgewood.
Sharan was born on August 9, 1942 in Pontiac, Illinois, the daughter of Delbert Zebell and Lucille Conkle Zebell. She was raised in Pontiac and was a graduate from St. Mary's Grade School and Pontiac Township High School in 1960. On December 7, 1974, she married Roy Douglas Phillips in Las Vegas, Nevada. Sharan worked as a dental technician for many years in the Dallas/Fort Worth area until retiring. She was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. Sharan was always willing to lend a helping hand and was quick to bring a smile with her wit. The most joy in her life emanated from her two granddaughters, Heather and Brandi. Sharan was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in Canton. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Preceded in death by her parents, Delbert and Lucille Zebell; husband, Roy Douglas Phillips on April 26, 2012 and a brother, Gary Zebell.
Sharan is survived by her son, Don Mock, of Wills Point; sister, Debbie Caldwell, of Pontiac, Illinois and four grandchildren, Heather Mock, of Denton, Brandi Mock, of Edgewood, Eric Mock, of Fruitvale and Matthew Mock, of Fruitvale.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. with rosary being recited at 7:15 p.m.
