Sharon D. Brown, 87, passed away on February 4, 2024. She was born on October 11, 1936, in Duke, Oklahoma, to Cleo Bearden Andrus and the late Raymond Andrus.

Sharon was a loving, thoughtful, and friendly individual. She had a passion for caring for others, which led her to pursue a career as a nurse practitioner in Dallas. Sharon dedicated many years to her profession, providing compassionate care to those in need. She retired in 1999, leaving a lasting impact on her patients and colleagues.

Outside of her career, Sharon valued her relationships with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, E. Phelps Brown Jr., whom she married in 1973 in Durant, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her mother, Cleo Bearden Andrus, her daughter, Rhonda Newton, her brother Randel Andrus, and four sisters: Pat Andrus, Norma Andrus Daniels, Barbara Andrus Adkinson, and Connie Andrus Donithan. Additionally, Sharon leaves behind two grandchildren, Shawn Balough and Stacy Balough. Along with a host of nephews and nieces.

Sharon's life was filled with love and faith. She was a member of Duke Baptist Church, where she found solace and community. Her faith played an important role in guiding her through life's challenges and joys.
