Funeral services for Shirley Anita East, 72, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Bro. John Lowrey officiating. Interment will follow at Union Grove Cemetery north of Wills Point.

She passed away Thursday afternoon, October 19, 2017, in Mabank, due to car accident.

Shirley was born October 26, 1944, in Powell, Texas, the daughter of Hubert Zachie Reid and Hazel Lee Tarkington Reid. She was raised in Kaufman, where she graduated from Kaufman High School and later East Texas Baptist University in Marshall in 1995. Shirley was formerly employed by Horizon Transport Company, where she later retired. She lived in Quinlan prior to moving to Wills Point in 1989. On March 15, 1990, she married Joe East in Wills Point. She enjoyed living in the country, driving R.V.'s and loved taking care of her dog, Joey. Shirley was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Wills Point.

Preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Hazel Reid; husband, Joe East on July 17, 2011 and a son, Tommy Wayne Evans.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Tammy Evans Carney and Paul Hicks, of Wills Point; sister, Darlene Wortham & husband, Doug, of Seven Points; grandson, Zachary Wayne Evans; step-father, Earl Mullins, of Mabank; nephew, Chris Wortham; niece, Tracy Wortham; great-niece, Shandi; great-great niece, Isabelle and her beloved dog, Joey.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday one hour prior to funeral service.
