Shirley Lou Hare, 87, of Fruitvale, Texas

passed away on August 2, 2023.

Shirley was born on March 6, 1936, in Hawkins, Texas to

Ed Hillborn Gregston and Opal Lou Vinson.

She was employed with Fruitvale ISD as a School Bus Driver, retiring in 1986.

Shirley enjoyed crafting.  She was of the Baptist Faith.

Shirley is preceded in death by her mother and father; brothers: Leon Gregston, Ernest Gregston, and Eddie Gregston; sister Mary Sue Duncan; son, Jimmy Starnes, and daughter Sharon Ruhter.

She leaves behind son Jerry Ferguson; four daughters: Cindy Ellis, Keo Ruhter, Susan Tilson, Terri Brewer and husband Frank; one sister Opal Juanita Jackson; eleven grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.

A memorial service is scheduled at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 12, 2023 at the First Baptist Church in Fruitvale, Texas located at 181 VZ County Road 1910 in Fruitvale, Texas.
