Stanley "Stan" Eugene Brown, 73, passed away on February 6, 2025, at his home in Wills Point, Texas.
Stan was born on October 12, 1951, in Taylor County, Texas, to Roy Miller Brown Jr. and Eveleta Cooper. He attended Cooper High School before pursuing a career in barbering, graduating from Barber School in Abilene with the class of 1970. In 1992, he moved to Wills Point from Abilene and became a well-known figure in the community through his work as a self-employed barber at City Barber Shop. He dedicated many years to his craft before retiring in 2020.
A man of faith, Stan was a member of Stonepoint Church in Wills Point. He found joy in fishing and raising cattle, pastimes that reflected his love for the outdoors. Known for his generosity, humor, and courage, he left a lasting impression on those who knew him.
Stan is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Betsy Kinney Brown; his children Jonathan Brown (Melissa), Will Girdley (Heather), Randy Girdley (Dani), and Cameron Sue Ashby (Christopher); his brother Billy Wayne Brown (Diane); his sisters Carolyn Voyles (Erbie), Debbie Garza (J.R.), and Tonya Hart (Tim); as well as his cherished grandchildren Taylor, Seth, Avery, Kasey, Levi, Jesse, Andrew, Dawsyn, Nolan, Rio, Nora, Noelle, Memphis, and Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Stan's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
