Steven Bryan Sherwood, 79, of Wills Point, Texas went to his heavenly home on September 6, 2023, in Tyler, Texas.

Steven was born in Myrtle Springs, Texas on July 06, 1944, to Cecil Wesley Sherwood and Sarah Alice Wood.

Steven was raised in Myrtle Springs where he established his lifelong home.

Steven was of the Baptist faith and a member of Baruch Hashem Messianic Synagogue.  He had a passion for Israel where he visited three times and served on a mission trip by using his plumbing knowledge and skills.  He preached at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.  Steven also spent his days coaching little league football and baseball when his children were young.

He was a master plumber and established Sherwood Plumbing in the early 1970's, where he retired in 2003.

Steven is preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Wesley Sherwood, Grady Sherwood, Cecil Sherwood; sister, Faye Sherwood Yates.

He leaves behind his son: Michael Sherwood and wife LaDonna; daughter: Paula Maxon and husband Derek; brother: John Sherwood; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral service is scheduled for Friday September 8, 2023, at Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point, located at 205 Corky Boyd Avenue, with Minister Homer Morgan officiating.   Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at 1:00 p.m.
