Susan Richmond Daniels, 77, of Hideaway, Texas, passed away on June 9, 2025. "Sue" was born on September 5, l947, in Henderson, Texas. She graduated from Henderson High School in 1966 and East Texas A&M University (then, East Texas State University) in 1972 after beginning college at Texas A&M in College Station.

She served on the Van Zandt County Library Board for a few years and is a retired teacher/librarian from Wills Point ISD, Spring ISD, and Mineola ISD. She was a foster parent to Henry and Delbert.

Sue was a member of the "The Bridge Crew" for over 50 years, the Tuesday Mahjong Group AKA The Joy Luck Club, and the Hideaway RV Club. She had a love for Blue Bell ice cream and Oreo cookies and was also known as "the buzzard whisperer." Sue loved going on trips and attending or hosting themed parties.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Steven Daniels, her mother, Mary Lou Lane Richmond, and her father, Joel Bert Richmond. She is survived by her brother, Roger Bruce Richmond and wife, Rita, sister, Bobbie Jo Richmond Forsythe, son, Jeremy Hollister, and wife, Amanda, step-son, John Daniels II and wife, Kristie,  step-daughter, Gabrielle Massey and husband, Mike,  grandchildren, Morgan and Jack Hollister, Lauryn Little and John Daniels III, Juli and Kaleigh Massey, Arwin and Liam Callaway, and great-grandchildren, Sammy Leigh Gray, and Cory Martise Greene III, as well as many other beloved family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on June 13, 2025, from 10:00 am to Noon at Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home located at 205 Corky Boyd Ave. Wills Point, Texas.
