Obituary

Susan Renee Reynolds Wolfe, born Susan Renee Harwell, passed away on September 29, 2026, in Royse City, Texas. She was born on June 22, 1959, in Dallas. Remembered for her kindness, her humor, and the love she gave so freely to friends and family, Susan leaves behind a life marked by devotion to others, creativity, and deep personal warmth.

Susan was raised in Pleasant Grove and graduated from W.W. Samuel High School in Dallas around 1977. She also studied commercial art at Skyline, reflecting a creative spirit that remained an important part of her life. She was an artist who enjoyed commercial art, and she found beauty in the world around her, especially in flowers. Roses and daisies were among her favorites and suited the bright, gentle presence she brought to those who knew her.

In her professional life, Susan worked as a caseworker with Dallas County Health and Human Services, also referred to as the Department of Human Services. Her work was rooted in service, and she dedicated many years to helping others through her role with the state. She later retired, around the time she was first diagnosed with lymphoma about 15 years ago.

Susan made her home in Fate before moving to Royse City, where she lived for approximately 10 years. On March 18, 2022, she married Kelly Wolfe in Royse City, Texas, a joyful milestone in her life.

Above all, Susan will be remembered for the way she cared for the people around her. She was funny and kind, and she was known for loving her friends and family deeply. Her presence brought comfort, laughter, and affection, and those gifts will continue to be cherished.

Susan is survived by her husband, Kelly Wolfe; her sons, Brian Parnell and Jared Parnell; her daughter-in-law, Chaz Parnell; bonus daughter Kelli Wolfe; four grandchildren; and her sisters, Janet Samford and Linda Reynolds. She also leaves behind many treasured memories in the hearts of those who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Olon Harwell; her mother, Maymarine Jackson Harwell; and her brother, Duane Harwell.

Susan Renee Wolfe will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing her.
