Suz Ann Jolly, (Slagle), passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. Born on August 30, 1945, in Elmira, New York, Suz Ann was raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, where she graduated from Fairpark High School in 1963. Her life was deeply marked by faith, selflessness, and a servant’s heart—qualities that defined her both as a cherished homemaker and a devoted member of her community.

On  August 30, 1968, Suz Ann married Mike Jolly, with whom she shared over five decades of love and partnership until his passing in January 2021. Their marriage was a cornerstone of her life, intertwining decades of shared joys and memories.

Suz Ann’s commitment extended far beyond her family circle. Known for her amazing culinary talents and unwavering support of the Dallas Cowboys regardless of the scoreboard, she was a vibrant presence in every realm she touched. Her knitting brought comfort and warmth to many, but it was her generous and steadfast involvement with First United Methodist Church in Mabank that truly showcased her heart for service. From organizing the clothes closet to baking for the Vacation Bible School, Suz Ann’s dedication was a testament to her faith and compassion for others.

She is lovingly remembered by her son Michael Jolly and wife Kristin; her daughter Stephanie Ondrusek and son-in-law Carl Ondrusek; her grandchildren Peyton Jolly and her fiance Elliott, Patrick Jolly, Cole Ondrusek, and Cade Ondrusek, who brought immense joy to her later years; her niece Kelsey Walker and her husband Austin; her great-niece Atlas Walker; and her brother James "Jimmy" Slagle and his wife Randy. Suz Ann's loyal four-legged companions, Ziva and Lizzy, were also dear to her heart. Many extended family and friends mourn her passing and celebrate the richness of her life.

Suz Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband Mike Jolly and her parents, Helen and Dan Slagle. Her legacy of faith-filled service, selfless love, and joyful spirit will remain a guiding light for all who knew her.

Her life will be remembered with profound respect and gratitude for the remarkable person she was—a woman who served her family, church, and community with unwavering dedication and an open heart.
