Suzanne Tucker
Morris
February 16, 1950 – June 21, 2025
Suzanne Tucker Morris of Edgewood, 75, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025, in Tyler, Texas. A loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she will be remembered for her creativity, sense of humor, and her love of animals and nature.
Born on February 16, 1950, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Suzanne was the daughter of Melvin Wesley and Genevieve Ann Raible Tucker. She spent her early years in Dallas, Texas before moving to Edgewood, TX. Suzanne attended St. Augustine Catholic School and graduated from Bishop Lynch High School in Dallas in 1968.
Suzanne dedicated much of her professional life to healthcare as a medical secretary. Her colleagues remember her as a steady presence who brought warmth and dedication to her work.
Suzanne married JW Morris of Edgewood, in 1991. The couple lived in Ovilla, TX. until retirement and then moved to JW's hometown of Edgewood where they enjoyed lively gatherings and countless domino games with family and friends. Their union was marked by shared love and companionship until his passing in 2006.
A woman of many artistic talents, Suzanne found joy in the arts though home decorating, flower gardening, and baking. Her creativity was evident in every corner of her home and garden—spaces that reflected her vibrant spirit and eye for beauty. She shared her passion for plants and flowers with everyone she knew, and she poured love into everything she touched, including her famous blackberry cobblers!
Suzanne is survived by her son William Robert Moore; daughter Janna Moore-Pena; five grandchildren—William Moore, Matthew Moore, Andrew Moore, Jacob Moore, and Joshua Moore; three great-grandchildren—Braden Moore, Elijah Moore, and Hunter Moore; and three sisters—Sharon Henry, Mary Tucker, and Terry Arnwine; and her dear companion, Jack Pendleton of Edgewood.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband JW Morris and her parents Melvin Wesley Tucker and Genevieve Ann Raible Tucker.
Suzanne's legacy lives on through the lives she touched with kindness and laughter. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
