Teresa Lynn
Borchardt
October 14, 1965 – March 20, 2026
Teresa Lynn Borchardt (Milligan), age 60, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. Born on October 14, 1965, in Arkansas, Teresa was the cherished daughter of the late Claude E. Milligan and Birdie Mae West Milligan. She grew up in Dallas, Texas, where she built a life filled with love, family, and faith.
A proud graduate of Spruce High School in Dallas, Class of 1983, Teresa went on to dedicate over two decades of her professional life as a pricing agent for DFIN Billing Company in Dallas. Her work ethic and commitment were evident throughout her career.
Teresa's life revolved around her family and her faith. A devoted Christian, she found joy in creating a warm and welcoming home for those she loved. She had a passion for decorating and could often be found exploring garage sales for hidden treasures to add her personal touch to her surroundings. Her strong will and loving nature left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her.
Teresa shared a beautiful life with her husband, Danny Eugene Cox. Together, they raised three children: Kevin Cox and his wife, Kelsey; Holly Watson; and Katelyn Turner. Teresa was also the proud grandmother of Hailey Carbaugh, Morgan Carbaugh, Waylon Mayfield, Hudson Cox, and Graham Cox. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
She is also survived by her brother Billy Milligan and his wife Judy; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members; and her beloved four-legged companion, Sugar. Teresa's love extended far beyond her immediate family—she touched the lives of many with her kindness and generosity.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Dewayne Milligan and Tony Milligan; niece Amanda Milligan; and nephew Tony Milligan Jr. Though their loss was deeply felt during her lifetime, Teresa carried their memory with strength and grace.
In recent years, Teresa resided in Kaufman, Texas, after previously living in Mesquite. Wherever she called home, she created an atmosphere filled with warmth and love—a testament to the kind of person she was.
Teresa's legacy is one of unwavering love for her family and friends. Her memory will live on through the countless lives she touched with her compassion and determination.
May those who knew Teresa find comfort in remembering the joy she brought into their lives.
