Funeral services for Thelma Lee Parker, 75, of Elmo, formerly of Wills Point, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 5, 2015 at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Bro. Jimmy Sheppard officiating. Interment will follow at Pilgrim Cemetery in Elkhart.

Thelma passed away Sunday night, May 31, 2015 in a Dallas hospital surrounded by her family.

Thelma was born December 22, 1939 in Wills Point, Texas, the daughter of Ezra Robert Vaughn and Edwina Johnson Vaughn. She was raised in Wills Point. Thelma graduated from Wills Point High School and Navarro Jr. College in Corsicana. On June 13, 1981, she married Horace Parker in Terrell. Thelma was employed by Terrell State Hospital for thirteen years, Schepp's Ice Cream for ten years and was a sales clerk for JC Penney in Terrell, retiring after eighteen years of service. She had lived in Elmo since 1981. Thelma loved her family very much and she especially enjoyed spoiling her great-grandchildren. She attended Oak Grove Baptist Church in Elmo.

Preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Finley Goode, Willos W. Goode and Glen D. Goode and a nephew, JW Goode.

Thelma is survived by her husband, Horace E. Parker, of Elmo; son, Robert R. White & wife, Lea, of Wills Point; three sisters, Peggy Ferrell & husband, Howard, of Edmond, Oklahoma, Nina Chamber & husband, Bob, of Azle and Linda Turner, of Denison; two grandchildren, Marty White, of Quinlan and Linsey White, of Chicago, Illinois and two great-grandchildren, Garrett White, of Quinlan and Charlee White, of Quinlan.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
