Thomas Joseph Murphy, 77, of Edgewood passed away early Monday Morning, February 13, 2017, at Crestwood Nursing Home in Wills Point. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements were under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Thomas was born July 7, 1939, in New York City, New York, the son of Thomas Joseph Murphy and Ellen Murphy. He was raised in New York City, where he attended public school. Thomas later moved to Dallas, where he was employed as a recruiter for Odell & Associates. In 2011, he moved to Edgewood. He enjoyed taking care of his dogs and cats. Thomas was of the Catholic faith.

Preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Joseph and Ellen Murphy.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Janet Robertson, of Edgewood; three daughters, Elizabeth Sarkozi, of Edgewood, Loretta Murphy, of Virginia and Morine Murphy, of Virginia; brother, Gerry Murphy, of Connecticut; two sisters, Ellen Vuolo, of New York and Regina Billman, of New York and numerous grandchildren.
