Funeral services for Turner Harrison Honea, 86, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at Trinity Baptist Church in Wills Point with Rev. Jeremy Ogdie officiating. Interment will follow at Bright Star Cemetery north of Wills Point under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.

He passed away Friday afternoon, June 5, 2015, in Tyler.

Turner was born on May 7, 1929, in Tennessee Colony, Texas, the son of George Duncan Honea and Effie Nason Winder Honea. He was raised in Quinlan, Texas. In 1946, he graduated from Quinlan High School. On April 16, 1971, he married Joy Lynn Wilson. Turner was manager of the Palace Theatre in Dallas and police officer for the Dallas Police Reserve. He also was owner of Turner Projector Service in Wills Point, owned & operated the Plaza Theatre in Canton from 1985 – 1996 and owner of Wood-N-Rail BBQ in Wills Point. He later was employed by Brookshire's in Wills Point for seven years, retiring in 2000. He lived in Mesquite prior to moving to Wills Point in 1976. He enjoyed fishing and working on projects. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Wills Point.

Preceded in death by his parents, George and Effie Honea; brother, George Clayton Honea and his daughter, Vicki Lee Hardy.

Turner is survived by his wife, Joy Honea, of Wills Point; two sons, Michael Wright & wife, Jackie, of Caddo Mills and Kelly Wright & wife, Deon, of Wills Point; two daughters, Kathy Honea Worthy & husband, Gary, of Rockwall and Tammy Miles & husband, Mike, of Greenville; ten grandchildren, Jonathan Worthy, Kimberly Worthy, Steven Hardy, Jennifer Baker, Joni Sharkey, Joshua Wright, Jason Wright, Samantha Cupples, Ethan Wright and Sean Wright and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
