Vera Fay
Haddock
March 3, 1931 – May 26, 2024
Vera Fay Pyle Ward Haddock, born March 3, 1931, Grapevine, Texas, passed into eternal rest on May 26, 2024, at the age of 93.
Vera was the cherished daughter of the late Willie Mae and Maxwell Pyle. She graduated from Highland Park High School in the class of 1948. She attended college in New York and at SMU as a Chi Omega.
Vera's life was characterized by her witty personality, loving nature, her generous spirit, and her unwavering dedication to her family and animals. She was a devout member of the Baptist community, consistently finding strength and comfort in her faith.
As a woman of diverse talents and interests, Vera excelled as a seamstress, found joy in gardening, and had a passion for bowling. She also held a lifelong affection for horses and loved driving all over the State of Texas going to the next barrel race or rodeo, and she loved her Dallas Mavericks! If music was playing, she was dancing and later in life she loved rocking her grandbabies; her grandchildren were her greatest joy.
The legacy Vera leaves behind is reflected in the love and memories cherished by her family. She is survived by her devoted daughter Linda Ginrich (and spouse Greg) son Jack Ward, Jr. (and spouse Carol); daughter Sharon Baldeschwiler; adoring grandchildren: Michelle Reed (and spouse Lee), Brooke Ferreira (and spouse Geann), Keith Ward, Bobby Joe Drouin, Blaise Baldeschwiler, and Bailey Baldeschwiler; and great-grandchildren: Macey Hunter (and spouse Evan), Axel Ferreira, Fox Ferreira, Fenix Ferreira, Tyler Ward, Landrey Ward, Bailey Drouin; as well as one great-great-grandchild, Tristyn Holloway; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in joining the Lord by her parents, her beloved husband Jack Ward, and her second beloved husband Robert Haddock, her daughter Vera Beth Drouin, her grandchild Donovan Drouin, and her sisters Donna Stalker and Mary Lou Bailey.
The family welcomes friends and loved ones to honor Vera's memory at a Memorial Service to be held at Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home, 205 Corky Boyd Ave., Wills Point, Texas, on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at noon.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the caring staff of Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home for their support and assistance in their time of sorrow. Vera's grace and kindness will be profoundly missed, yet her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she touched.
