Viola Marie Vernon, of Wills Point, Texas passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021 in Terrell, Texas.

Viola was born on May 22, 1956, to the late Henry and Bessie Vernon in Huntsville, Texas. She was raised in Huntsville moving to Wills Point 26 years ago from Terrell. Viola was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and loved her chickens.

To cherish her memories, Viola leaves behind her husband Benny Coon of Wills Point; sons, Jessie Thompson and Kathleen of Seattle, Washington and Brian Coon of Kaufman; daughters Tausha Thompson and Mark Zapalac of Katy, Denise Yager and Jim of Michigan and Amy Hirth and Jimmy of Crandall; sisters, Peggy Tinkly and Tracy of Gary, Linda Vernon of Kilgore, Nancy Ross and Bob of Georgia, Sally Green and Scott of Longview and Joeanna Dawson of Terrell; grandchildren, Jenna, Jesse, Celeste, Cassandra, Audrey, Hayden and Tory; along with many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Viola is preceded in death by her parents, sister Rita Lynn Vernon and brother Jessie Vernon.

Funeral services will be held for Viola Friday, July 2, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Online condolences may be made at allanfullerfuneralhome.com.
