Obituary

Virgil Leslie McEnturff of Emory passed away Wednesday morning, August 14, 2019 at his home.
Virgil was born April 21, 1939 in Edgewood, Texas to Ferrell and Viola McEnturff. He married his wife, Jean, of 61 years in Hugo, OK on August 15, 1958. He worked 30 years for Fastener Companies before going into business for himself. Virgil also served as a commissioner of Rains County for 8 years. He had a passion for restoring classic cars and traveling to car shows. Virgil was a farmer as well, and raised horses, cattle, and various other farm animals. He was a member of the Emory Baptist Church since 1975 and served on the Smyrna Cemetery board for many years.
Preceded in death by his parents Ferrell & Viola McEnturff; brother and sister in law Bobby and Barbara McEnturff, sister Wilma York and Virginia Hagan.
Virgil is survived by his wife, Jean McEnturff; son, Ronnie McEnturff; daughter, Tammy McEnturff. Six grandchildren, Brandy, Nicole, Tamara, Melissa, Nathan and Jessica as well as 7 great grandchildren, Tyler, Sarah, Drake, Austyn, Shaylin, J.T., and Paige. As well as numerous family members and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Smyrna Union Church, Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 11:00 am with Pastor Robert Burns officiating.
