Obituary

Virginia “Faughlette” Marler, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished member of the Wills Point community, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026, in Kaufman, Texas, surrounded by her two daughters. Born March 14, 1944, in Portland, Oregon, Faughlette’s life full of love, dedication, and joyful spirit.

Faughlette’s early years in Portland, she attended Franklin High School and Marshall High School, where she proudly graduated in 1962. She continued to pursue her achievements by earning an associate’s degree and a Real Estate Degree at Henderson County Junior College. It was this foundation that propelled her into a rewarding career as a Real Estate Broker for many years.

In 1983, Faughlette embraced a new chapter, beginning her work with the United States Postal Service. Her roles there were varied and impactful; she not only delivered the mail but also served as a classroom instructor and driver instructor, helping countless colleagues gain confidence and skills. Through every endeavor, Faughlette’s sweet, caring nature and selfless spirit shone brightly. Her joy for life and love for others left a lasting imprint on all who knew her.

Faughlette made Wills Point her home for 47 years, warmly welcoming all into her life and heart. As a devoted member of the International Outreach Church, her faith was a cornerstone of her existence, inspiring love and kindness. Outside of her professional and spiritual commitments, Faughlette delighted in reading, fishing, flower gardening, traveling, and, most importantly, spending treasured time with her family.

Her family remembers fondly her charming sayings that added lightness and laughter to even the simplest moments: "For Pete’s Sake," "Good Heavens to Betsy," and "Well I'll Be." These expressions are a testament to her unique personality—joyful, loving, and endlessly affection nate.

Faughlette is survived by her devoted daughters, Jodi Corbett and her husband Dale, and Lori Marler. Her spirit lives on in her grandchildren—Brandon Corbett and wife Shannon, Landon Corbett and wife Tiffany, Jessie Morgan and wife Danielle, Tanner Marler and wife Lydia, Clayton Marler and wife Harmony, Maddison Scott and husband Hagan, and Landon Marler—as well as her beloved great-grandchildren Austin, Weston, Hudson, Hadley, Kyler, Jacob, Branson, Kingley, Emmarie, Alaia, Brecken, Holden, and Thomas. She also leaves behind her sister, Kay Star Bassett, and husband Clinton, who shared in her joys and supported her throughout life.

Faughlette was preceded in death by her son Curtis Marler, her loving parents James Gordon Reagor and Dorothy Fern Hogue Reagor, and her sister Beverly Lynette Beine.

The family invites all who knew Faughlette to join in celebrating her remarkable life. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11:00 a.m., both on May 9, 2026, at Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home, located at 205 Corky Boyd Ave, Wills Point, Texas.

Virginia Faughlette Marler’s legacy is one of deep love, warmth, and unwavering joy. Her caring heart and joyful soul will be profoundly missed but forever treasured by all fortunate enough to have known her. May her memory be a blessing and her spirit rest in peace.
