Voncille Furrh Jones, 76, of Wills Point, Texas, passed away at home on June 18, 2020, due to complications of multiple system atrophy with her son by her side.

Voncille was born to the late Eubra Edward Furrh and Lillie Colquett Kuhn on January 17,1944, in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Wills Point High School in 1962.

Voncille moved to Dallas in 1963, pursuing a career in telecommunications, moving back home to Wills Point in 2017, after a long and successful career with Southwestern Bell and AT&T.

Voncille is survived by her son, Mitchell Ragland, of Wills Point; sister Wanda McNeill; nieces, Rhonda Kizzia and Tami McNeill; nephews, Michael Barnes, Russell Kizzia, and Monty McNeill. Voncille is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Nioma Kizzia, and niece, Pamala Kizzia.

Many of Voncille's cherished memories were of growing up in Wills Point, working at Rosa Lee's little café with friends and family, where love, laughter, and devotion to family came first and foremost. She also loved living in Dallas to enjoy the entertainment, visual and performing arts, and fine dining.

Despite her hectic schedule, she always managed to find time to visit with family at home. Voncille was always positive, despite many trials and tribulations, honest and trustworthy, never hesitating to assist during times of crisis with an unwavering love for family. She was a wonderful mother and true friend if you were fortunate enough to have her as one.

"Mom and I would like to express our sincere gr atitude to Tami McNeill, Rhonda Kizzia, Sonya Hipp, Becky Ragland, Shelly Munns, Colita Rogers, and many others for their help during the last years and days of moms life, making it possible for her to remain at home with many fond memories. We couldn't have done it without you."

A private ceremony will be held at Voncille's home in Wills Point on June 27, 2020. Flower arrangements can be dropped off or delivered to 635 Pecan Ave, Wills Point, Texas, 75169.
